Nkosi Myers by Cecil Evans

I've known Nkosi some 6 years now, having attended the same college at secondary school and since starting photography I knew there would come a time where I'd call on him for a shoot. His strong features reflect so many traits of the people of Trinidad and Tobago and particularly reminded me of male supermodel David Gandy.

We spoke over the course of two weeks about "the look"...had some setback but for a first time... I have to say he delivered. Special thanks to Derren for assistance.

Keith Allicock: Demerara Gold

In my many hours of internet networking with Caribbean talent I came across Keith, and luckily he was scheduled for a visit to my home island Trinidad for the Carnival holiday.

K.A. "So...when I come am I gonna get a shoot?"
C.E. "Yea...not a problem...but you better work..."

Model + Photographer = Photo shoot. I'm not fond of math, but it was a winning equation. Special thanks to Jabari McQueen for assistance with reflector duty.

Consequent to my shooting Keith, and sharing his images with talent manager Kai Jankovic, he was able to book a shoot with the talented Kevin Acevero. Look out for that spread soon on Island Blog. Talk about your whirlwind vacation!
